Prints of Herts - Report on behalf of Terri Adcock External Competition Secretary
Thanks to Terri's initiative, Watford were honoured to host the inaugural Prints of Herts competition. We welcomed 6 Hertfordshire clubs in Letchworth, Harpenden, Croxley, Welwyn. Stevenage and Royston. It was a real pleasure to meet up with quite a few fellow photographers from clubs across Hertfordshire - many of whom we do not routinely compete with.
Each club was represented by 10 mounted prints across 5 categories. 2 each across Open colour, Mono, Nature, Scapes and Creative. Our esteemed judge, Chris Palmer FRPS EFIAP DPAGB APAGB, was highly impressed by the quality of the work across all clubs.
There were individual awards in each of the 5 sections conveniently spread across 5 clubs. Watford's Lloyd Moore won the Creative category with his "Eye Catching" image.
The main award was for the Prints of Herts trophy which went to the club with the highest points total out of 200.
The top three were:-
3rd= place with 172 pts - Stevenage & Welwyn
2nd place on 176 Watford
1st and clear winner this year was Royston with 181 points.
Eye Catching by Lloyd Moore of Watford was the category winner for the Creative Section.
