September Highlights

Thursday 4^th September

Welcome back to the start of the new season. We start with a Competition night as always – in 2 parts.

Part 1 is Prime Lens Challenge – 3 images maximum per author to be entered online via the website. Images must have been captured on the day of the club day out trip to London on Saturday 16th August.

Part 2 is the first Set Subject PDI comp of the year – The Debbie Ram Seeker of Light Award. Images must have been captured after 1^st September 2024 and the use of light should be a dominant feature. Check the website Set Subjects list for a fuller description of the task.

Thursday 11^th September

Photography on the Darkside – Peter Benson. Peter will be joining us via Zoom to describe his work on photography at night time. Largely featuring ‘city lights’ – a genre and style which is pretty challenging to get just right.

Thursday 18^th September

Six by Six. So called because we used to ask 6 members to present 6 of their images for 15 minutes and talk about them. Nowadays we are more flexible on the number of images but the 15 minutes still stands! One of our most popular nights.

Thursday 25^th September

PDI 1 - The first ‘Open’ competition of the year. Enter up to 2 digital images of any genre of your choice. No set subject for this one.
