EXHIBITION 2025-26

Exhibition Instructions to Members. (Also via Email and FB).

All WCC members are invited to enter images for our Annual Exhibition.

The website is now set up ready to receive your entries over the next few weeks.

There are quite a few notes so please read carefully before asking any unanswered questions.

  • Each member can enter up to 10 images - 5 Prints and 5 (different) PDIs

  • They can be images you have entered in club competitions. They can be of any age. They must not have been shown previously in our exhibition. (It might be nice to enter some images that have not been seen before - but this is YOUR choice)

  • Your entries need to be uploaded to the website by midnight on Sunday 31st August

  • The images can be of any genre but please be mindful that they are not offensive in any way given the wide range of people and ages who will visit it. This is even more important this year as we may be in a more public venue rather than a separate gallery. Children of all ages may see images in passing, please also consider any ‘stereotyping’ etc

  • Judging will take place on Saturday 6th September from 9.00am at the Friends Meeting House

  • The judging is purely to identify the winners of 8 categories in both Print and PDI (16 awards involving engraved trophies!). There will also be some Commended and Highly Commended. Whether your image wins a category or not, they may still be displayed

  • The 8 awarded categories are Monochrome, Portrait, Wildlife, Landscape, Most Original, Sport, Macro & Best in Exhibition (any genre). You might want to bear in mind these categories when deciding on your entries BUT you can enter images of any genre

  • When uploading your 5 Prints please upload them in your order of preference, Number 1 being your favourite. This is because we have a limited number of frames so we may not be able to display all 5 of your images. If we can only show 4 for each member then it will be the same for everybody. (We did manage all 5 last year and the least number i have experienced in my 8 years of membership is 4 per person)

  • All 5 PDI entries will be become part of a YouTube video, last year’s received 240 viewings. It will also become an electronic gallery viewable on our website, in addition to being circulated to other camera clubs and linked on Facebook. Therefore it is not really necessary to enter your 5 PDIs in order of preference

  • Electronic uploads must be the same size files as for Internal Competitions (Maximum 1600 pixels wide and 1200 pixels high). They must also be labelled in the same way (e.g. Rough Seas_Bob Upanddown)

  • Prints must be in a 50cm by 40cm mount (portrait or landscape). The mount can be of any colour of your choice
